In Advanced Placement Photography, students are to follow a theme or “sustained investigation” and make a portfolio. For my sustained investigation I decided to study the question: How can I celebrate my grandmother's life through photography? My Nana is one of the most unique specimens of grandmothers to ever live. Throughout her entire life, she has exhibited a vibrant and eccentric personality. Words such as beautiful, crazy, and wonderful don’t do her justice, so I used photography to share her with the world. During the process of creating this portfolio, not only did I explore and experiment with an extraordinary muse, but spent quality time with Nana making memories I wouldn’t trade for the world.
